The location in the City made this trip special as I was able to walk to nearby restaurants and just see the City in general. The upgrade to the Penthouse didn't hurt either.
Wonderful view of south Charleston from corner room on 11th floor. Nice, clean bathroom. Friendly staff.
Toilet leak in bathroom, which was fixed quickly. 2" long roach/palmetto bug flying around. I thought the value was not so great for what you get. Small room.
A warm, comfortable room with a nice staff to assist us on a cold and blustry weekend, with a nice resturant and eacy access to the Historic Disrict of Charleston, SC.
The paper thin walls and doors that ajoin rooms. The guy next door let his clock radio run for 20 minutes at 0630 on a Sunday morning, plus we could hear every cough, sneeze, and telephone conversation he had.
The convenience to the different districts of Charleston.
the main lobby was very luxury, the whole staff was very friendly and helpfull
not so modern, very small bathroom although we had a Deluxe Room
Over the three days room never cleaned.
Staff at desk, dining room and valet service excellent
Issue with getting room type that was originally booked. At check in was told room was an upgrade from what was booked. Booked king size suite and was given 2 double beds/2 bath room. Returned to lobby to question room and was asked by manager, "what makes you think you have a suite?" I showed her a copy of my reservation with a room description. After some additional time we were moved to our suite. For 3 female older adults traveling for many hours was very annoying!
Decor was beautiful..very comfortable beds.
Room 320 showed signs of a water leak, the wall under the leak was crumbling and the carpet was damp and caused the room to have an odor. The odor was not bad enough to change rooms but I was surprised that the cleaning folks did not alert the proper people.
hotel staff was friendly and helpful. our room was very clean and comfortable and it had a lovely view of the square. it was very quiet and relaxing.
getting in and out of the parking garage was a bit tricky with a young child.
The location was perfect. The staff always had great recommendations for lunch and dinner. Very accommodating!
Parking fees but that is always expected in downtown hotels.
A fabulous front desk person about whom I wrote a letter to the manager
The historic look and being in the historic district of the City of Charleston. The hotel is beautiful...love the Starbucks too! Love the double bathrooms in the room for my adult daughter. Staff was very friendly and informative. Will definately be back. A suggestion would be a package with local museums and shows?
The ambiance and the downtown location were perfect for our holiday in the historic city.
The room was nicely appointed, although it was quirky with 2 small bathrooms. The bed was quite comfortable! The staff was pleasant and moderately helpful, answering our questions but not necessarily anticipating any followup concerns or need for clarification. The lobby is magnificent!
The internet service was extremely slow. The doormen were casually and sporadically responsive rather than proactive in offering their services.
