The views from my room at Francis Marion Hotel were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the park and the city. I had a memorable experience enjoying a delicious dinner at the well-liked restaurant, indulging in the flavors of seasonal Southern cuisine. The hotel's elegant interiors and gracious service truly added a special touch to my stay, making it a memorable experience.
The room was extremely small for a family of 3 and the bathroom offered very little space, making it difficult to bathe our infant.

Picture this: savoring classic dishes at Swamp Fox with top-notch service to match. Unearth hidden gems like Sassyass Coffee Co and Spring Roll Asian Cuisine just steps away. The hotel oozes history, and the doorman? Legends. Oh, and that ninth-floor view? A vibe.
Sure, the check-in hiccup was a head-scratcher, but once we settled in, all was golden. The parking garage kerfuffle was a workout, but adding to the adventure, right?

stayed at francis marion for a girls trip and had a fantastic experience. the staff were super friendly and accommodating from the doorman who helped us unload to the front desk who checked us out. Great location on King Street, comfortable beds, and very clean room. The hotel is simply beautiful and elegant, with a welcoming and sweet staff.
Can’t fault anything about it! 😊

Polite service, though a few employees were terrible. The check-in was speedy, we liked cigar bar. Moreover, they offered public parking nearby. The location was great - near to downtown sights, and most hotspots. Downtown Charleston district was worth exploring. The breakfast was exceptionally nice and sensational, with lots of meals.
The room had not so great views.

Quiet beds, high-speed internet, two big windows, and a lounge in the room. Clean bathrooms with a bath. Very central location on the free trolley which has a stop on the corner. Nice customer care, parking nearby.

The hotel's decoration is truly charming, with elegant vintage touches that brought back memories of a bygone era. The grand lobby and general areas were spacious and exuded a sense of timeless sophistication, making it easy for us senior folks to navigate around. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was commendable, with comfortable seating areas and easily accessible facilities that made our stay truly delightful.
I would ask for a better vacation experience for senior people if there were more seating options in the lobby and common areas. It would be wonderful for the children of the staff to ensure more resting spots, making it even more comfortable for the older guests.

I was amazed by the Southern charm of it all. From the historical ballroom to the impeccable service, every detail was on point. The classic cuisine and variety of themed events kept things exciting. My family was thrilled to explore the nearby attractions on foot. And let's not forget the mysterious elliptical staircase - talk about a conversation starter! a memorable experience in a city steeped in history. Can't wait to plan our next adventure there.

I had the tradition room which was really well appointed with views. The location was wonderful right next to a picturesque park. I ate in the attached restaurant nearby.
The bed was very uncomfortable, that's my bad luck.

Our family stayed at this historic hotel during a "Southern Garden Party" event and it was a delightful experience. The hotel organized a charming garden-themed evening, complete with lush decor and live music that transported us to a whimsical garden paradise. Our kids received delightful Francis Marion backpacks filled with fun activities and handy maps, which made exploring Charleston even more enjoyable.
My wife says that it would be great if the hotel could offer more interactive kids' activities during themed events to keep the little ones engaged and entertained, allowing parents to fully savor the magical ambiance of the event.
