Rooms need major renovations! ! Small bathrooms are a nightmare! The air conditioning is unreliable! Slow elevators during check-out are a hassle! Parking garage is inconvenient! Careful with noise from nearby clubs!

The lobby exuded charm like a grand Southern home, and the room had a splendid view that made my heart sing louder than a jazz band. The staff was incredibly friendly, matching the warmth of a cozy blanket on a chilly day.

Stunning lobby that makes you feel like royalty! The staff were a delight—always ensuring our room was spotless and ready for more fun. Plus, the location was perfect for strolling to nearby shops and cafes.

However, the bathroom was so tiny I could've brushed my teeth while sitting on the toilet! And let's not even discuss the noisy neighbors—it felt like a live action reality show!

The location was amazing, right next to all the shops and dining! We loved the stunning views of Calhoun Park from our large corner king room, and having flavored water and cookies in the elegant lobby was a nice touch.

The air conditioning unit blasts cold air even when cranked up, with a thermostat that can't keep up, making for an uncomfortable entry during chilly weather. Don't expect a cozy hangout in the restaurant. it has a disorganized vibe, with long waits and inattentive service. There's a bit of a shabby charm to the hallways, too, with peeling wallpaper and neglected maintenance that could have used some attention.

The room was a decent size with comfortable beds and a great location right on King Street, made exploring easy. However, the toilet had issues, requiring multiple flushes, and the AC unit struggled to keep the temperature consistent. Valet parking adds up quickly due to its reset policy, creating a hassle on top of an already expensive stay.

The Francis Marion Hotel sits in a fantastic location, making it super easy to stroll around downtown Charleston. I loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants without needing a car. However, I found the bathrooms a bit cramped, not ideal for comfort. The door to my room had a noticeable gap, letting in noise from the hallway, which sometimes disrupted my peace. Overall, a lovely hotel, but some rooms need updates to enhance the experience.

my stay was lovely, far better than my past trip to charleston with a cramped room. the spacious king room offered a nice view and cozy bed for a romantic getaway. the staff were incredibly helpful, making my experience exceptionally enjoyable.
